The Mount Vernon Company is an award winning real estate investment firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. Their extensive portfolio of properties range from historic Beacon Hill brownstones and cutting edge apartments in Allston-Brighton, to contemporary residential and retail developments in Portsmouth, NH. MVC recently created a boutique hotel division, with upscale guesthouses and hotels in resort communities such as Nantucket, Newport, Portsmouth, and Camden, as well as a 200-room hotel in Boston.
THE CHALLENGE
Bruce Percelay, Chairman and Founder of Mount Vernon Company, was referred to us by a mutual client to design a new logo for his firm. Since Bruce founded the company over 30 years ago, MVC has grown to include approximately 1,500 apartments, 5 hotels, and select commercial and vacation properties. Their existing logo had a historic script style that did not reflect their innovative approach to development.
SOLUTIONS
We started by designing a contemporary brand identity system that is representative of one of the leading real estate firms in Boston. We then designed a fully editable CMS website to showcase MVC’s portfolio of properties, dedication to service, and commitment to the community.
